Slovakia is rich in technical monuments reflecting the way of life, skill and aesthetic feeling of simple village people. Technical monuments of the former estate in Štrkovec in the Galata district can serve as a unique example within whole Slovakia. They include such interesting buildings as distillery, belfry, ice-house that was used to store milk and milk products, and others. Historically this complex of buildings goes as far back as the end of the 19th century.
