The 8^th International Festival of Films, TV and Video Programmes ENVIROFILM was held on 7 to 11 May 2002 in Banská Bystrica, Zvolen and Banská Štiavnica. 94 films from 21 countries were sent to the competition. Grand Prix (2,500 EUR) was awarded to the film ”Freedom” by Indian director Amar Kanwar. Banská Bystrica and Zvolen are the cities where the International Federation of Environmental Film Festivals ”Ecomove International” has been established during ENVIROFILM.
