More environmental criteria have been set for products on the Slovak market
Ministry of the Environment of the SR decides about the right of using the environmental label “Environmentally Friendly Product”. The SEA¢ s Waste Management and Environmental Management Centre, which is the executive body of the National Programme of Environmental Evaluation and Labelling of Products in the Slovak Republic, has prepared several technical standards stipulating environmental requirements for some new selected product groups. Certain directives have been updated, such as the Directive No. 0008 Radial tyres for passenger cars and No. 0009 Electric refrigerators and freezers for households. Besides this, the Environmental Evaluation Commission has discussed new directives: No. 0016 Liquid cleaning agents, No. 0018 Ground limestones and No. 0019 – Large-surface wooden boards. Totally new is the Directive for hazardous liquid absorbents from solid surfaces and water surfaces.
