The author informs that the National
Report on the Status and Protection of Biodiversity in Slovakia and the
National Biodiversity Strategy of Slovakia have been developed currently.
The Institute of Landscape Ecology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, the
author of the article is the director of, has been co-operating with the
European Environment Agency in Copenhagen and is participating in development
of the Report on Biodiversity in Europe.
