Zdenka Tóthová – the State Secretary of the Ministry of the Environment of the SR (MoE SR), the Chairwoman of the Council for European Integration of MoE SR

Environment of the Integrated Europe

Z. Tóthová is sure that EU extension will contribute to the political stability and increase of economic prosperity. One of the conditions for the access to EU is legislation harmonisation also in environmental field. In order to meet the obligations, EU provides financial support to candidate countries through ISPA, PHARE and SAPARD programmes. The objective of this support is to mobilise sources for environmental problems solving. At the same time the Slovak Republic will spend in 2000 – 2008 almost twice as much of public financial sources as at present, for environmental protection.
