ENVIROFILM won in 2000 the award of the European Environment Agency in Copenhagen for raising public environmental awareness through films and media. The ENVIROFILM is the member of the environmental festivals network and together with other European festivals it has founded in 2002 the international association ECOmove International, which organises every two years the International Festival of Environmental Festivals ECOMOVE, in Berlin. The main topic of this year´s ENVIROFILM is water. The majority of 109 films, sent to the competition, deal with this topic. There are various accompanying events of the festival, such as discussions (e.g. green talks ”Waste Separation”), children´s competitions (e.g. Water Expedition), seminars (e.g. Programme of the Village Restoration), exhibitions (e.g. Green World), projection of competing and non-competing films, etc.
