monitoring development and ensures its building,

of SEA as the subsystem of the Integrated Environmental Information and
Monitoring System of the SR,

develops methodologies
for individual layers of the geographic information system within
the framework of SEA?s information system ,

keeps the register of basic
settlement units,
-
builds the Territorial Information
System in co-operation with other professional organisations in the SR,
-
interconnects information about
the territory and environment in the overall SEA?s structure and in relation
to the Integrated Environmental Information and Monitoring System of the
SR,
-
professionally supervises and
co-ordinates the Integrated Environmental Monitoring and Information System
of the SR in national as well as international context,
-
ensures, in co-operation with
the state administration bodies and professional organisations, the building
and operation of the Information System of Environmental Departments,
-
ensures the building and operation
of the ZPNet computer network in the environmental sector,
