In 1996, total anthropogeneous emission of heavy metals reached 505 644 tonnes. Compared to 1990, total emission of heavy metals decreased by 466 656 tonnes. Except of Cd the decrease of emission was recorded at all assessed heavy metals. The maximum decrease of emission (by 203.5 tonnes) was recorded at Mn. In 1996, maximum emission reached Pb - 97.3 tonnes.
